‘Made in Germany’ meets Mexico: the German Pavilion makes its debut at FUNDIEXPO 2026

Mexico is one of Latin America’s most important industrial locations and an attractive growth market for the international foundry and metals industry. A strong automotive and supplier industry, combined with a highly developed metalworking sector, creates promising business opportunities for international technology providers. From 28 to 30 October 2026, the industry’s attention will turn to Monterrey, where FUNDIEXPO will bring together the international foundry and metals industry at Cintermex and showcase the latest technologies and solutions for industrial production. FUNDIEXPO covers key areas of the industrial value chain, ranging from foundry technology and die casting to metallurgical processes, the machining of castings, heat treatment and industrial furnace technology.

The German Pavilion reflects many of these topics with its broad range of technologies. Participating companies include AIC Regloplas, August Mössner, Bürkert, Chemex Foundry Solutions, GMTA Mexico, Heinz Berger Maschinenfabrik, Hüttenes-Albertus Chemische Werke, INDUGA Industrieöfen und Giesserei-Anlagen, Nabertherm, Otto Junker, promeos, Rösler Oberflächentechnik and Rudolf Uhlen. This brings concentrated German foundry expertise to Monterrey. For trade visitors, the joint pavilion provides convenient access to German foundry technology and an opportunity to discuss specific technological requirements directly with the participating companies. At the same time, visitors can compare the solutions presented within FUNDIEXPO’s international environment and meet new partners for investment and modernization projects.

The German Pavilion is part of the Foreign Trade Fair Programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and is supported by VDMA Metallurgy & Thermoprocessing. Under the joint “Made in Germany” umbrella, the pavilion facilitates access to the Mexican and Latin American markets for German companies while creating opportunities for new business contacts and cooperation.

FUNDIEXPO with strong international reach

FUNDIEXPO is an established industry meeting point for the foundry and metals sector in Latin America. The figures demonstrate just how international the platform has become: in 2024, more than 4,700 trade visitors and 339 exhibitors attended the event. A total of 33 countries were represented, with five international pavilions participating in the trade fair.

The exhibitor profile also highlights the event’s international character: of the 339 participating companies, 205 came from outside Mexico. The event’s strong acceptance within the industry was also reflected in its satisfaction ratings, with 88 percent of surveyed exhibitors and 85 percent of visitors stating that they were very satisfied.

In 2026, FUNDIEXPO will take place in Monterrey. The location could hardly be more fitting: the industrial metropolis in northern Mexico lies at the heart of one of the country’s major metals and manufacturing regions. Its proximity to the US market and its strong industrial base make Monterrey an important location for international exchange and new business opportunities.
